After our mother died, my relationship with both of my older sisters deteriorated. They wanted to boss me around because I guess they thought I needed it since I didn’t have a mom to do it? Our mother was never the bossy type, though. I didn’t speak to them at all for several years.

Over more recent years, no major reconciliation happened. I’ve just drifted into talking to them more. I had to talk to them once or twice a year about some logistical things, and now I talk to them about other stuff. One of them texts me memes about dogs weekly or so. It’s not the same as it was before all this, but it’s not NO contact. Does that even count as reconciliation? I don’t know.
